By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Fourteen of the top 20 cities in Texas report a decline in sales tax receipts in the most recent monthly report from the state Comptroller.

By contrast, Lubbock sales tax receipts are up. The newest report is the first one of the new fiscal year so Lubbock is up 0.48% for both the month and for the year-to-date.

Around the West Texas region, Amarillo sales tax collections are down 7.4% and Midland is down 17.7%.
