Pothole patrol expanded in City crew

Posted:

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The recent winter weather has taken a toll on Lubbock roads, leaving behind lots of potholes.

The City of Lubbock Street's Department say they have had many calls regarding cracks and potholes.

Normally they would have only two trucks that are equip to fill the holes. This year, because of the demand, they have started something new.

"We went and purchased bags of materials that we use for patching, we actual but it in our crew trucks, so when they are out there working so if they see one they can just fix it without us having to call," says Kevin Lair, the Lubbock Street Utility Superintendent.

To report a pothole, call the City's hotline at 311.
