The Lubbock Police Department says Officer Freeman had no choice but to arrest Veronica Hernandez and her boyfriend after they say the students were uncooperative with the process of receiving a ticket for jaywalking. However, Veronica's mom says the officer who arrested her daughter was way out of line.

Dawn-Marie Souza worked for American Medical Response, an ambulance company. Someone complained about her work. Officials say the company denied her a union rep. So she went home and complained about her supervisor on Facebook, prompting a lot of other complaints from co-workers. Then, the company fired her.
