Authorities say two people fled after a rollover in south Lubbock County Wednesday evening. The driver rolled the vehicle around 8:45 p.m. at Woodrow Road and University Avenue.

Investigators with the Lubbock Fire Marshal's office were called in to determine the cause of a Wednesday evening house fire in southwest Lubbock. The fire started outside a home near 88th Street and Toledo Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

A source close to the family of Margaret Talkington confirms that she passed away Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. According to Texas driver license records, she was 95-years-old.

Most of the South Plains is now under a Red Flag Warning because of the lack of rain and the high winds. The very dry conditions have put the National Weather Service (NWS) on high alert and they have issued a red flag warning for the heart of Lubbock.
