WASHINGTON, D.C. (KCBD) - Saturday, President Barack Obama announced a joint fundraising effort to help Haitians. He enlisted the help of former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
"Here at home, Presidents Bush and Clinton will help the American people to do their part, because responding to disaster is the work of all of us. Indeed, those wrenching scenes of devastation remind us not only of our common humanity, but also of our common responsibilities," Obama said.
By coming together in this way, the President says it sends a message to the world that America stands united with the people of Haiti. (Click Here) for more information on how to donate to this cause.
