Boil water notice continues for Levelland

By Staff Reports | email

LEVELLAND, TX (KCBD) - While a water main break has been fixed, Levelland residents still need to boil their water until further notice. A private contractor hit a main water line Saturday, dropping water pressure below safe standards.

Low water pressure can let germs, dirt or other contaminates leak from the ground into the water pipes in a process called backflow contamination.  Tests have to be completed before the boil notice can be lifted.
