LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - In a news release Tuesday, local attorney and former City Councilman, Victor Hernandez, informally announced that he will be running for the City Council.
Hernandez, held the District 1 seat on the Lubbock City Council for approximately 11 years before deciding to run for Municipal Court Judge.
"My 20 years of experience as an attorney, my past experience as a Captain in the United States Army and my 11 years of experience as a City Councilman have prepared me to resume my duties on the Lubbock City Council," says Hernandez.
Hernandez went on to say, "While on the City Council, I was able to provide millions of dollars of infrastructure yearly to the District. It is critical that District 1 have a representative who is effective, experienced and who has a history of listening and acting on behalf of his constituents."
A formal press conference will be held later this week.
