Texas Laryngectomee Association holds annual meeting in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The Texas Laryngectomee Association is having its annual meeting in Lubbock this weekend.  It will include lots of information, discussion groups and vendors demonstrating new devices for patients relearning to speak without a larynx.

It's a three day conference at the Holiday Inn, with some sessions at the Physicians Pavillion at Texas Tech.  There is a local Laryngectomee club that meets bi-monthly at the UMC Cancer Center.  For more information, call the Speech Pathology Department at UMC and ask for Rachel at (806) 775-9224.
