Lubbock County Declared Primary Natural Disaster Area

A major storm last year has made Lubbock County a primary natural disaster area. Governor Perry asked that Lubbock be given the designation because of the heavy hail, flash floods and winds that hit Lubbock in June of last year. The designation makes Lubbock and its surrounding counties eligible for federal loans.

Crosby, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lynn and Terry counties are included in the natural disaster area.
