Source: Terry Co. SheriffLUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Brownfield man will spend 40 years behind bars after pleading guilty to attempted capital murder.
The Brownfield News reports Johnny Lee Garcia pleaded guilty to the charge on Friday. In March, authorities say Garcia broke into a home near Brownfield that he thought was unoccupied. When the 64-year-old homeowner confronted him, investigators say Garcia stabbed her several times.
