LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -The City of Lubbock Health Department is now making the H1N1 vaccine available to the general public. Saturday they hosted the 1st of two clinics open to anyone, not just high risk groups. They distributed more than 250 vaccines.
Even though the spread of the virus has slowed, they encourage everyone to receive the vaccination. "There is still talk that there could be a third wave of H1N1 coming, so we encourage everybody to protect themselves and their family," said Public Health Preparedness Coordinator, Sandy Fortenberry. The next clinic will be on Thursday, January 28th from 4:00pm to7:00 p.m. at Patterson Library.
