Cantu wins special election in Lamesa

LAMESA, TX (KCBD) - Adam Cantu defeated Sandra Portillo in a special election for a new District 3 City Council member in Lamesa Saturday. The Lamesa-Press Reporter has Cantu defeating Portillo with 80% of the vote.

Cantu will finish out the term of Tony Hernandez who resigned on November 17th. Hernandez has remained on council until a replacement could be named.
