LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Lubbock's First Responder Memorial will likely get a new location. Previously, the plan was to put it in Jack Stephens Park.
This week the City Council will instead consider building the memorial on the site of what used to be the Godeke Library, 66th and Quaker. The public memorial will honor public safety professionals from Lubbock and the surrounding 14 counties who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
