LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Lubbock area law enforcement agencies have been asked to be on the lookout because of an Amber Alert from Comanche County Oklahoma.

Authorities identify the victim as Aja Johnson, who is described as a white female, 4 feet tall, 65 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes.  They also describe Aja as very slender.  Authorities say the suspect is Lester Hobbs, who is described as a White male, 47, 5'9", and 180 pounds.

Tuesday afternoon, prosecutors charged Hobbs with the first degree murder of his estranged wife, Tonya Hobbs, and the kidnapping of her youngest daughter, Aja.

Tonya Hobbs sought a protective order against Lester Hobbs in August claiming he threatened her daughters and vowed to kill her if she left him. An emergency order was granted but the case was later dismissed when neither Tonya nor Lester Hobbs appeared in court.

Hobbs was last known to be driving a white 1992 Toyota Paseo with Oklahoma license Plate number 577 BPW. The back window has been replaced with a piece of sheet metal. The suspect is also wanted in connection with the homicide of the victim's mother.  The two were possibly spotted in Austin earlier in the day and then more recently in Brady, Texas.
