TAHOKA, TX (KCBD) - Tahoka residents are now under a boil water notice. City Secretary Retha Pittman tells NewsChannel 11 that the entire water system had to be shut down due to a huge water main break.
Low water pressure can lead to a dangerous situation called "backflow contamination" where dirt and germs can seep from the ground into the underground water pipes.
The order to boil water will continue until further notice.
