OKLAHOMA & TEXAS (KCBD) - The Amber Alert for a missing 7-year-old girl remains in effect, and Oklahoma prosecutors have charged her stepfather with murdering the girl's mother and kidnapping the child.

Aja Johnson disappeared from Geronimo, Oklahoma on Sunday night. Police issued the alert after Aja's mother, Tonya Hobbs, was found murdered in her RV. Her father says Aja is on medication and has pleaded for her safe return.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Tonya's estranged husband, 47-year-old Lester Hobbs was charged with murder and kidnapping. Hobbs may be in a 1992 white Toyota Paseo with Oklahoma plates. It doesn't have any hubcaps and there's plastic covering the rear passenger window.
