LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Next time you go on break, tell your boss you're giving your brain a break to boost your memory.
Researchers at New York University studied the brains of adults after they were shown a series of images. Half were given a rest period after viewing the images and they were told to think or do whatever they want during their break. They found the people who took the rest period were the most sharp when tested later about the images they saw earlier.
Researchers say the study shows we should make rest a priority, especially if we want our brains to be in top shape.
