LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – If it snows here Thursday, an exercise that we don't get to do much around here called snow shoeing can be very beneficial. All you have to do is just layer yourself, put on waterproof boots and go for a long walk outside.
"Typically you can burn about a thousand calories an hour snow shoeing. It's one of the most aerobic things you can do. I think cross country skiing is the only thing that's more aerobic in fact," said Jeremy Castle, a snow shoeing enthusiast.
If the conditions are right and you want to try this workout, be sure to layer your clothing. Jeremy says you might be surprised out how much clothing you'll want to shed when you warm up with a workout like this.
