O'DONNELL, TX (KCBD) - O'Donnell High School Principal Clay Burns has submitted his resignation. His resignation was effective January 27, 2010.

According to a statement released by attorneys for the O'Donnell School Board and administration, the resignation comes in response to allegations that Burns was involved in "educator misconduct" while employed at another school district."

So far, there is no indication that he was involved in any misconduct while employed at O'Donnell, but they say they will take appropriate action upon the completion of a thorough investigation.

O'Donnell is about 40 miles south of Lubbock on US 87.
