LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - City and TxDOT crews were paying attention last week before the snow storm hit Lubbock.
We saw more than 3 inches fall creating dangerous road conditions. Fortunately for Lubbock drivers, crews worked to make the main city much safer. You only needed to drive about five miles north outside of Lubbock to know just how bad roads really were.
So thanks to city and TxDOT officials for being prepared before the storm hit. Also big thanks to LP&L, Xcel, and South Plains Electric for working many hours to restore power to thousands of homes.
Consider this; the wet roads have now given way to lots of potholes. I was told the city had three pothole trucks out repairing the damage. I hope that is enough because they have lots of work to do and these potholes pose a major hazard.
If you know of a bad pothole, the city is taking calls now. Just dial the new 3-1-1 number and they will take your report. Let's hope they can get them fixed quickly.
