Source: Lubbock Co. SheriffLUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A mother and daughter stand indicted for setting a fire in their apartment complex.
A Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted 37-year-old Bonnie Gonzalez and her 19-year-old daughter Kayla Tuesday afternoon for arson. Both women have admitted to setting this January 12th fire at the Waterford Apartments at 4th and Slide.
The Fire Marshal's Office says the women received victim's assistance from the state, and that that money was about to run out. They think the women set the fire in hopes of gaining more financial assistance.
The apartment complex plans to bring a civil case against the women.
