LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Owners of recalled Toyota models are left feeling confused after contradicting remarks.
Transportation secretary, Ray LaHood, says he misspoke after telling a congressional subcommittee that recall model owners should stop driving their vehicles until they are fixed.
LaHood later said owners who were concerned about their vehicles should take them to the dealership to be repaired.
Toyota states on it website that if you experience problems with your accelerator, you should contact your Toyota dealer.
However, if there aren't any issues with your pedals, your vehicle is safe to drive.
Coming up tonight on NewsChannel 11 at 10, we hear from a Lubbock owner who is going through the process of trying to get her vehicles repaired.
