Landing System not in operation at LBB; some flights cancelled

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - If you are planning to fly out of Lubbock sometime on Thursday, you might want to call ahead and check with your airline first. The Instrument Landing System (ILS) is not in operation.

Southwest Airlines cancelled a 1:00 p.m. flight. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is evaluating the equipment and has not given a projected fix time.

Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport has not closed.
