LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The White House is going high-tech for babies, or actually "High-Text". It's a new campaign called "Text 4 Baby" and it's the first free, health education program in the U.S. aimed at reaching expectant moms through their mobile phones.
Studies in Africa, Latin America and India have shown that periodic texts can reduce smoking and other unhealthy behaviors in pregnant mothers.
Wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have all agreed to waive the fees for receiving the new mommy reminders. To sign up for this free service, (Click Here).
