PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI (KCBD) - While the money continues to pours in there is one Lubbock native is on the ground physically and spiritually healing quake victims.
Senior Pastor Daniel Stephens says his team of four from Midland's Mid-Cities Community Church are trying to help out in any way they can. We spoke with him from the Haitian capital of Port-Au-Prince where at a local clinic his team saw 135 patients Friday.
"You name it, it's in ruins. Even the hospital electricity is difficult to come by if you don't have generators. It's devastating but most devastating is the human toll there is a great need," says Stephens.
Pastor Stephens and his team landed on Wednesday and will come back to West Texas on Monday.
