BUFFALO SPRINGS LAKE, TX (KCBD) - The driver of a SUV was expected to be okay Saturday night, after her car ended up in Buffalo Springs Lake.
We're still gathering details on exactly what happened, but we can tell you that the Buffalo Springs Volunteer Fire Department responded around 7:40 p.m. Assistant Chief Kade Garner says an ambulance did take the female driver to the hospital for evaluation, but he did not think she suffered any serious injuries.
It took crews about an hour to get the vehicle out of the water. "I think this is only the second car I've heard of in the water in the three years I've lived here. Last one was when it flooded," Garner said.
The victim told fire crews she had a dog in the car with her. They had not been able to find the dog by late Saturday night.
