LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A bounty hunter who was trying to arrest a suspect is instead under arrest for murder in Plainview.

Officers responded Tuesday night at 8:26 p.m. to the 1100 block of West 29th Street for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived they found Darek Graves, 31, dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Police identified two bounty hunters at the scene who said they were trying to arrest Graves. They said that Graves took off running down an alley and the chase ended in gunshots. Jarrod Flaming, 41, was then arrested for murder and booked into the Hale County Jail.

Flaming's Facebook page indicates he is not just an employee of Bad Bog Bail Bonds Inc. in Carlsbad New Mexico, but rather he is the President of the company. NewsChannel 11 called Bad Bog Bail Bonds Inc.  A woman who answered the phone but did not identify herself by name or by title said, "No I don't have anything to say. Thank you."

NewsChannel 11's Ann Wyatt Little will have the latest information on the news at 6 and 10.
