Missing Lubbock man killed by train

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The search for a missing Lubbock man came to a tragic end Friday night, when authorities discovered him dead near Anton. Lubbock Police issued a missing person alert for Leon Trotter, 79 Friday evening.  That's after Trotters' pickup was discovered abandoned along U.S. Highway 84 near Shallowater.

The Department of Public Safety reports Trotter was discovered along railroad tracks close to F.M. 2130 near Anton in Lamb County just after 7:00 p.m. Friday. 

Trotter was pronounced dead at the scene. No word yet about how he ended up there.
