Texas Rangers investigate the death of Seminole inmate


LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Investigators with the Texas Rangers are investigating the death of an inmate in Seminole.

25-year-old Samuel Garcia was arrested in connection with a narcotics investigation last Wednesday. Gaines County Deputies kept Garcia under constant observation, after they were advised that he may have swallowed an unknown amount of cocaine.

The next morning, paramedics were called as Garcia began suffering from seizures. He was eventually transferred to University Medical Center in Lubbock where he later died.
