LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Researchers have discovered that each cancerous tumor has its own genetic fingerprint.
This is something they say could lead the way to a personalized blood test to determine whether a person's cancer has returned. Johns Hopkins Researchers learned this after studying the DNA of tumors from patients with breast and colon cancer.
Johns Hopkins has filed for a patent on this amazing new technology and they predict it could be available for use in cancer patients within the next three years.
