LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – A New York woman, who's had her face fixed 15 times, is warning others now that excessive scarring can come from too many plastic surgeries. Laura Perella says she's spent over $61,000 on her face.
"I've had upper, lower eyes, I've had my nose done, a chin implant, I've had a lip lift, chin implant removed," said Laura Perella. "Gortex implants, two face lifts, one major facelift and I don't think I've forgotten anything."
At age 39 now, Laura says she traded beauty for scars. She claims bad surgeons just took her money, instead of offering real help. She's written a book called "Chasing Beauty" to warn other women against the false promise of plastic. Another message in this is to choose your surgeon carefully. A board certified plastic surgeon is trained to counsel with their patients first and warn them about unrealistic expectations.
