LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A missionary detained in Haiti, is back home in Amarillo. Jim Allen spoke on The Oprah Winfrey Show Friday via satellite about his time in a Haitian jail for child trafficking charges.

He says after Haiti was hit by the massive earthquake last month the missionaries planned to take some children to a temporary orphanage in the Dominican Republic. Of course, he ended up jailed for that. However, Allen says his jailers treated him well.

"They treated us as well as they could with what they had. It was hard, we slept on the concrete floor and all, but there were a lot of times think we have a roof over our head, one hot meal that was enjoyable and good."

Allen was incarcerated for three weeks. The missionaries still face possible charges.

The Oprah Winfrey show was pre-empted Friday due to NBC's Olympic coverage.
