LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -Fire crews from Idalou and New Deal Volunteer Fire Departments spent the afternoon battling a grass fire near County Road 6100 and Boys Ranch Road.
Idalou Fire Chief Ed Wilbanks tells NewsChannel 11 trash fire got out of control at a junk yard in the area. He estimates flames scorched 60 to 70 acres. Wilbanks says they got the flames under control around 5 p.m.
