LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – If approved on Thursday the City of Lubbock will create a homelessness committee. It will evaluate and oversee homelessness issues within Lubbock, and then report its findings and recommendations to the Lubbock City Council. Councilman Todd Klein proposes the idea.
More than a year ago volunteer groups counted approximately 500 homeless people in Lubbock.
