By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – It's your tax money.  You have the right to know how it's spent.  That's how City Councilman John Leonard feels.  This coming Thursday Leonard will introduce an ordinance to make the city's check book open to the public and published on the city's web site.

The city already posts its yearly budget and yearly financial report online.  On the advice of the State Comptroller other cities in Texas have already started posting their day-to-day expenses online.
