By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – You'll soon notice three big projects underway in Lubbock.  The city is out for bid on the reconstruction of University Avenue between the South Loop and 82nd Street.

Also 82nd from University to Elgin will be reconstructed.  It's being paid out of a $10 million per year street rehabilitation fund.  The city is also out for bid on the widening of Quaker Avenue from 98th street to 114th.  This $9 million project was approved by Lubbock voters last year in a bond election.

And the city is out for bid on improvements to MacAlister Park including restrooms, sidewalks, grass seeding, an ADA ramp, and improvements to the Legacy Village parking lot
