Covenant to Realign 13 Regional Clinics

Covenant Health System is making more changes and this time it effects surrounding towns. Covenant will no longer be affiliated with clinics in the following towns:

  • Post
  • Big Spring
  • Odessa
  • Andrews
  • Carlsbad, NM
  • Hobbs, NM

Covenant says the clinics in Post, Odessa and Andrews will remain open under a different name. The future of the other three remains uncertain.

In addition seven other Covenant Clinics will be converted to rural health care clinics. They are in:

  • Crosbyton
  • Littlefield
  • Snyder
  • Plainview
  • Brownfield
  • Artesia, NM
  • Clovis, NM

Under the rural health clinic model, the local hospitals in these communities, which are managed by Covenant, would lease the converted clinics, with the exception of the Clovis clinic.

Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales would lease the clinic in Clovis. All clinic staff would be employed by the hospitals.
