Female suspect acknowledges involvement in Tech Terrace assault

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The college aged female suspected of attacking a 62-year-old woman in her own front yard has acknowledged to police that she was involved.

Lubbock Police say the fight happened on Saturday night in the Tech Terrace neighborhood in the 3200 block of 22nd Street.

Sherry Grusendorf tells NewsChannel 11 that she was checking on a girl who was lying in her front yard, when she was attacked by another female party-goer with a broken beer bottle.

The female suspect came to the Police department on Monday night and said she was involved.

Lubbock Police Detectives are hoping to get a statement from her on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lubbock City Manager Lee Ann Dumbauld and the Police Chief Dale Holton will meet with angry Tech Terrace residents on Wednesday to discuss the situation.
