LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – At the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, new research indicates Wii video games may also be of help to recovering stroke patients.
Researchers had one group of patients play recreational games like cards or Jenga, while a second group played Wii games that focused on repetitive hand movements, like tennis. After eight sessions the Wii group showed more improvement in speed and grip strength than the group that played card games.
