Salmonella scare forces pecan recall - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

YANCY, TX (KCBD) - A salmonella scare forces a Texas pecan company to recall its product.

American Pecan Company has recalled large, medium, and small plastic bags of its pecan pieces. They sell to walk-up customers at their Yancey location in south-central Texas, as well as mail-order customers in Texas, New York and Massachusetts.

The company says no illnesses have been reported, but it has stopped producing and distributing the product.
