Woman with mental health warrant assaults three at Logan's Roadhouse

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police were called to Logan's Roadhouse around 1:45 p.m. on Monday when a woman in her vehicle hit another vehicle, but with minor damage.

The hostess at Logan's saw the accident and told the woman that she needed to stay there until the police arrived, that is when the woman assaulted the hostess. The first officer, a female, arrived and told the woman to stay in her vehicle. A second officer arrived on the scene and a struggle started.

The woman started assaulting the female officer, they tried to subdue her and this made the woman more out of control. The woman then kicked both the officers.

Then the woman started digging in her pockets for her keys, which had a pepper spray container on the key chain, and the officers wrestled it away from her and finally cuffed the woman.

The police department told NewsChannel 11 that the woman already had a mental health warrant from the Sheriff's Office. Police have not released the woman's name or what charges will be filed against her.

NewsChannel 11 will continue to follow this incident and will bring you the latest as it becomes available.
