LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Tuesday is another session of Community Medical School, when the public is invited to take classes at the Texas Tech Health Science Center.  The lesson this week is 'before you travel," taught by Ron Warner, Ph.D., an infectious disease specialist at TTUHSC says there's much more to do than just pack for that special trip outside the United States.

"You should always take any medications that you need with you.  They should be in their original container with the labels intact," said Dr. Warner.  "It's a good idea to take an extra prescription, if it's a long trip, say more than three or four weeks and probably take duplicate prescription for eye glasses or contact lenses."

There's still time to join Community Medical School with six classes left this semester.  It's just $20 for all six classes.  Classes are every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and you can pay at the door if you haven't reserved your spot already.  For more information please call (806) 743-2008.
