20-year-old Lubbock woman indicted for evading police

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A woman accused of leading Lubbock Police on an overnight chase that ended in a rollover, stands indicted on Wednesday.

A Lubbock Grand Jury indicted 20-year-old Mekala Taylor for evading police in a motor vehicle on February 15th.

Police say an officer tried to stop Taylor in University in the early morning hours. They say Taylor sped away when the officer went to his patrol car.

Taylor then lost control at the Loop an Indiana and rolled her vehicle. She was arrested on previous warrants including assault and resisting arrest.
