Annual Mayor's Beans & Cornbread Luncheon this Friday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Whether you want to support the mayor or just like a good old fashion southern meal of beans and cornbread, that is what the mayor's having for lunch Friday and everyone is invited.  The Annual Mayor's Beans and Cornbread Luncheon is an important fundraiser for Hospice of Lubbock.

"Hospice of Lubbock  is Lubbock's only non-profit Hospice and we're the only one that cares for both adults and pediatrics, so this fundraiser goes to help us make sure that we can take anybody who needs Hospice care, whether they have insurance or the money to pay for it or not," said Charley Wasson, the Director of Hospice of Lubbock.

The Mayor's Beans & Cornbread Luncheon is this Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or purchased by phone at (806) 795-2751.
