Former Lubbock City Councilman and local lawyer running for District One

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The man who once represented District One on the Lubbock City Council officially announced his candidacy for his old seat on Friday.

Victor Hernandez held the District One seat for eleven years and was Mayor Pro Tem, during his time on the Council.

He believes open government is the key to a thriving district.

"I believe District One needs someone who not only believes in open government but does his or her active part to make sure open transparent government is had," says Hernandez.

Hernandez will be running against Glen Robertson and Rafael Gutierrez.
