LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man got 10-years in federal prison Friday. Gean Christopher Washington, 37, pleaded guilty in December to drug-related charges.
Court records say he possessed cocaine, marijuana, and a semi-automatic pistol during an August 2009 traffic stop. A DPS trooper pulled over Washington for failing to come to a complete stop at Slaton Highway and Martin Luther King Blvd. Court records say the trooper smelled what he believed was marijuana during the traffic stop and then asked Washington for permission to search his pickup truck and where he later found the counter ban.
