City Releases List of Reorganization Cutbacks

The City of Lubbock announced the positions cut in a recent reorganization plan. Interim City Manager Tommy Gonzales says the cuts will save the city about $800,000.

Here's the complete list of jobs that were eliminated.

  • Recreation Outreach Coordinator
  • Park Development Coordinator
  • Youth Services Director
  • Management Services Managing Director
  • Conservations Program Educator
  • Deputy Aviation Manager
  • Aviation Museum Curator
  • Systems Planning Engineer
  • Utility Collection Manager
  • Electric Promotion Coordinator
  • Senior Power Sales Representative
  • Power Sales Representative
  • Management Assistant to City Council
  • Managing Director of Information Technology
  • Human Resources Assistant
  • Health Educator

The employees who hold the positions will be paid for 12 weeks. Eight other positions were also eliminated, but were vacant at the time.
