The City of Lubbock announced the positions cut in a recent reorganization plan. Interim City Manager Tommy Gonzales says the cuts will save the city about $800,000.

The employees who hold the positions will be paid for 12 weeks. Eight other positions were also eliminated, but were vacant at the time.
