Local Students Have Chance At New Scholarship

The Lubbock Coca-Cola Bottling Company announced, Thursday, it is teaming up with other area businesses to sponsor a scholarship for students here on the South Plains. Sponsors hope to generate up to sixty-thousand dollars for the "Fanta*stic Community Scholarship". Participating retailers will donate a portion of the proceeds from all Fanta beverage sales to the program.

The scholarship will then be awarded to the winner of an essay contest in December of this year.
