(KCBD-TV) Lubbock - Despite starting the game missing their first eight field goal attempts, the Texas Tech Lady Raiders win their first round WNIT match-up against Houston 80-77 at the United Spirit Arena.
Senior forward Ashlee Roberson hit a lay-up at 12:27 in the first half to give Tech their first field goal of the game. In all, four Lady Raiders finished the game in double figures with Christine Hyde leading the way with 16.
Texas Tech now awaits the winner of Wyoming and Nevada to see who they will face in the second round of the WNIT. That game is set to tip-off at 8pm on Friday.
