LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Scientists are taking human sight to the next level with what's called the "Eye-Q" laser for vision correction.
The Lasik procedure itself has been around for some time. It's popular and virtually painless. But now, ophthalmologists at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center say they're proud to be the first to bring this new and improved technology to Lubbock. "I think the new technology is being able to provide the treatments quicker for the smaller spot size to keep the natural shape of the cornea. Also, it allows a wider treatment range than some of the other previous laser systems."
